Girls Aloud get £125K – for less than an hour’s work!

They say that footballers are overpaid, but Girls Aloud netted £125,000 this weekend for a 45-minute performance! The girls got £25,000 each (and Nadine did turn up – funny that) for the set at the 70th birthday party of billionaire Eddie Healey. He booked the girls as a treat for his grandchildren, who might not have been as enamoured with the other, um, big-name performers, like Bobby Davro and Russ Abbot. We’re very jealous that the girls get so much wonga for spinning around on stage for three quarters of an hour – if only we’d got through those Popstars: The Rivals auditions too!
