Celeb BB is coming back!
Ooh, controversial... The show that brought us George Galloway pretending to be a cat on live TV is back – hurrah! Channel 4 insiders have revealed that Celebrity Big Brother will return next January, after this year's disappointing viewing figures for Big Brother Celebrity Hijack (we quite liked it ourselves, but never mind). "We never said that Celebrity Big Brother would be gone forever," says the source. "We wanted to give it a time out after all the friction of the Shilpa and Jade saga." Ooh, we're already wondering who they might get in the house – James Corden's top of our list...
Mucca/Macca divorce finalised
You could be forgiven for thinking that Paul McCartney and Heather Mills were divorced ages ago, what with her getting awarded £24million a month or so back and all that. But no – the divorce was finally settled yesterday at a private hearing at a court in London – with neither party present. Both are now free to marry in six weeks' time – watch out, men of the world...
Kirsty Gallacher embarrasses Dec
Gladiators host Kirsty Gallacher thinks her pal Declan Donnelly is too famous to find love. The star, who has become close friends with the Geordie TV presenter over the past few years, says she is desperate to find the pint-sized star a “soulmate” but fears that he’s just too well known. “It gets harder the more famous he becomes,” she claims. “The problem is that so many people think they already know so much about Dec,” she continues. Declan, 32, has admitted that he doesn’t have much luck in the romance department, but his best mate Ant married his long-term girlfriend two years ago. Kirsty went on to say, “He’s such a good catch. Anyone who ends up with him will be very lucky.” We can’t help but feel a little bit embarrassed on poor Dec’s behalf. There’s nothing worse than your smug married friends giving you the “poor single” line – but, then again, at least Dec can use the “too famous” excuse. It’s got to be better than “too ugly” or “too clingy”.
Nadine gets a new job
Not content with being part of a famous girl band, Nadine Coyle has decided to start a new business on the side – selling candles. Yep, the Bambi-legged beauty is planning on opening a shop in her new home, LA, and says her mum will run the business while she is away with Girls Aloud. “I’m so excited,” Nadine gushed, “LA’s the perfect place for it too, as people love to get pampered.” As well as her new candle venture, Nadine and her family also own a number of properties in the States and a Mexican restaurant. She still denies she has any plans to leave the band, saying, “LA is my home now, but there’s no way I’m quitting the band. The candle shop and my businesses are something else I love to do.” We don’t know about you, but we’re struggling to get at all excited about candles. Whatever’s next? Scented coat hangers...
