Guess who wants to help Amy now...
Amy needs help. It cannot be denied. And yesterday’s late arrival to the Ivor Novellos was just the latest in a long list of mishaps in the singer’s life – but there may be a light at the end of the tunnel in the shape of Tina Turner! Yep, the dame of pop has offered to take Amy under her wing, and has issued her with a harsh warning: stay off the drugs. The 68-year-old singer, who’s ex-husband Ike was a drug abuser, says she knows only too well the damage that drugs can do. “You get nothing from drugs except a feeling and bad health,” she stated, before going on to say that she believed if Amy “was clean, she would be celebrating now because she is wonderful. Her voice is absolutely timeless”. Tina also says she believes Amy could have a 40-year career if she manages to clean up her act. Can you imagine Amy in 40 years time? Still on the stage... What about Tina and Amy on stage together? It would be like Battle of the Big Hair...
 
Exciting Take That news!
Gary Barlow revealed at yesterday's Ivor Novello awards that Take That will be back again in December – yay! After the band scooped the Most Performed Work award (for Shine), he said, "We will be back by Christmas. We couldn't stay away. I haven't written the songs yet, but we are going to be back. There should be a tour as well." Even more excitingly, when the tour does kick off, Gary wants 90s boyband Let Loose to support them! "Let Loose are back," he says. "They were one of my favourite bands of the 90s. They can support us on tour if they want." OMG! We loved Let Loose – in fact, it was only the other day that we were murdering Crazy For You in a karaoke booth. The drummer was well fit as well. Yum.
 
Madge on adopting David
Madonna says that the process of adopting baby David was as "painful" as childbirth. "It was painful and a big struggle and I didn't understand it," she said, in a revealing interview. "In the end I rationalised that when a woman goes through natural childbirth, she suffers an enormous amount. I went through my own kind of birthing pains. But I had to go through some kind of process and in the end it made me stronger, so I can't complain." Madonna also denied confusing reports that she had taken the baby without his father's consent. "His mother died of Aids and yes, I met his father and he absolutely agreed to the adoption," she says. "There is nothing controversial about the adoption."

R Kelly jury have a laugh
A jury in the US burst out laughing yesterday at something said by a witness in the R Kelly/child porn case. The female witness, who is a friend of the alleged victim, was shown a picture of the singer with his shirt off and asked how she knew it was indeed his body in the incriminating video. She replied bluntly, “Because his head was attached to it,” which greatly amused the jury. R Kelly has denied that the man having sex with a 13-year-old girl on the video is him, but the victim’s friend claims she recognises both her young pal and the singer. She also told the jury that the pair used to visit R Kelly at his studios and that he gave one girl lavish gifts. The case continues.
