Amy's minder sacked over drugs row:
Amy Winehouse's minder Alex Haines has been sacked – after allegedly being caught smoking crack (Ooh, the irony). The clean cut chap – rumoured to have had an affair with the singer – was welcomed by Amy's family as a calming influence, but just weeks later the not-so-clean cut aide has been given the elbow. Alex is thought to have admitted to being one of the people on a video tape taking drugs – shocking Amy's management team. A source claimed, "Alex was caught bang to rights. There was no mistaking from looking at the film that he was taking drugs. It was a shock to everyone.The boss went mental and Alex was asked to resign. The last thing Amy needs hanging around her are more users. Alex was supposed to help her and he crossed the line. He had to go." And they haven't wasted anytime in securing Amy's London pad while she is away – changing her locks to ensure no unwanted people, such as Alex, can gain entry. A source said, "Amy's out of London at the moment so she doesn't want anyone who might have a key coming around while she's away. Alex was a good friend to Amy but he caused massive rows for her with Blake. He couldn't stand hearing they were sleeping together." A spokesman said last night: "We can confirm that Alex is no longer working for Metropolis or for Amy Winehouse."

Westlife to play at Rooney wedding
Irish crooners Westlife look set to play at Coleen McLoughlin and Wayne Rooney's wedding. The boy band are said to have been persuaded by the Manchester United footballer who was desperate to book her favourite group after failing to do so for her 21st birthday last year. A source said, “Some of Wayne’s teammates gave him a bit of stick, but he knows how much Coleen loves them.”

SATC Kristin: “I thought I’d be dead at 30”
Sex And The City star Kristin Davis has spoken out openly about her past problems with alcohol addiction, and admitted she even feared for her life. The 43-year-old actress, who plays the part of Charlotte in the show and movie, said, “I really didn’t think I would pass 30. I drank a lot when I was a teenager.” Kristin goes on to explain that alcoholism actually ran in her family and that when she was was younger she had a “fatalistic viewpoint” on life. She managed to kick her habit following a stint in rehab aged just 22, but says that her struggle has not been easy. “I miss it,” admitted the now teetotal star, “You don’t go to rehab and then suddenly it goes away.” Kirstin was in New York last night along with the rest of the SATC cast for the movie’s glittering premiere. Kirsten Dunst in rehab for depression
Another lady talking about her problems today is 26-year-old actress Kirsten Dunst, who checked into rehab earlier this year to tackle, most people assumed, her issues with alcohol. But the Spider-Man actress says it was depression that persuaded her to seek help, “I went there for depression. I was struggling, and it was a good six months before I decided to go away,” she explained. The young star was often pictured looking as if she’d had one too many, but has denied having any addiction to alcohol. She went on to say, “Depression is pretty serious and should not be gossiped about!” OK, Kirsten – we won’t say another word, except get well soon...
