Why SJP is FURIOUS about this dress…

There’s no denying that Sarah Jessica Parker looked fabulous in this stunning Nina Ricci dress, which she wore to the all-important New York premiere of Sex And The City. However, she’s now found out that the dress had been worn before, by a New York socialite and, more annoyingly, we’d imagine, a certain Lindsay Lohan – and she’s pretty peeved, since she was assured she was the first person to wear the striking strapless gown. “In the big picture, this is not important, but there is a relationship between the entertainment industry and fashion,” says SJP. “Look, my affection for the dress hasn’t changed, but what they did was so short-sighted. It’s just unethical and disappointing that they would allow the dress to be worn again. I just wish it had been handled differently and they had been straight about it.” Do you think SJP is right to kick up a fuss, or is it all a storm in a very pretty teacup?

Children are starving to death in Africa. Hundreds of people sleep rough on the streets in London. Ice Caps are melting. And liek ZOMG, SJP is the 2nd person to wear an amazing dress she got for free. Tragedy much?

i agree with sarah it is totally out of order for people to say she was the first one to wear it when she wasnt. They just said it to get her to wear the dress. Totally OUTRAGEOUS!

I agree with her...she's famous for being a fashion icon. She's a trend setter not a follower!

Unethical? UNETHICAL!??! Are you kidding me? I understand it sucks, but UNETHICAL!? On the grand scale of things it DOESN'T MATTER... After all, it was only a dress worth a few thousand bucks... A DRESS ... a FEW THOUSAND BUCKS!!!
