The woman who designed this dress HATED the SATC film

Vivienne Westwood has always been outspoken, but we’re still surprised that she’s slagged off the movie that her dress was such a big part of. Those of you who’ve seen the Sex And The City film (and if you haven’t, where have you been?) will know that Carrie’s dramatic wedding dress is a gift from Vivienne – but it sounds like it’s the only thing about the movie she actually enjoyed. “I thought Sex And The City was supposed to be about cutting-edge fashion and there was nothing remotely memorable or interesting about what I saw,” says the flamboyant designer. “I went to the premiere and left after 10 minutes.” Hmm, that’s going to annoy the zillions of us who didn’t get premiere tickets…

I think it's unnecessary for her to put the film down but I have to admit that I was quite disappointed with it myself. It wasn't very feminist, with Big humiliating Carrie and her still giving him what he wanted in the end.

Haven't seen the film myself as not a SATC fan - but me thinks Vivienne Westwood is just after some column place in the rags...
