The woman who designed this dress HATED the SATC film

Vivienne Westwood has always been outspoken, but we’re still surprised that she’s slagged off the movie that her dress was such a big part of. Those of you who’ve seen the Sex And The City film (and if you haven’t, where have you been?) will know that Carrie’s dramatic wedding dress is a gift from Vivienne – but it sounds like it’s the only thing about the movie she actually enjoyed. “I thought Sex And The City was supposed to be about cutting-edge fashion and there was nothing remotely memorable or interesting about what I saw,” says the flamboyant designer. “I went to the premiere and left after 10 minutes.” Hmm, that’s going to annoy the zillions of us who didn’t get premiere tickets…

shes right really, none of the clothes in the movie were cutting edge. they were choosen to look timeless and classic, which in its very defination ain`t cutting edge. but i still love vivienne westwood, fookin legend. shes makes 60% of my wardrobe

I love Vivenne Westwood, she's by far my favourite designer, as well as being an icon. Her clothes are so original. I adore the dress and all her designs. Especially the last autumn/winter collection.

okay so the clothes werent as "cutting-edge fashion" as they could have been, but it didnt stop the film from being great. she shouls have watched the film for more than 10 minutes, what do you know about a film after that.
