Madonna releases statement about "divorce"
The rumours have been flying around for weeks, but now Madonna has issued a strong denial that her marriage is in trouble. It was thought that Guy Ritchie had flown to New York in a last-ditch attempt to save his marriage to the Queen Of Pop, but this claim has been rubbished by Madonna's spokeswoman. "Guy arrived in New York to be with his wife and family – not in a last ditch attempt to save his marriage which does not need saving," she stated. The rumours started after the couple hadn't been seen out together for months, and Guy was not wearing his wedding ring when he arrived in New York a few days ago. Madonna, who has sternly said she has "no plans" to divorce her husband, has also rubbished tabloid claims that she's having an affair with a married baseball star, saying that they are simply good friends. It is alleged that Guy was adamant he not be separated from the couple's children, but whatever the reason, it would appear that they've decided to work at their marriage. We must say we're relieved, this story was making us feel a little sad.

Apprentice Lee pulls sickie on first day
Apprentice winner Lee McQueen has infuriated his boss Sir Alan – by failing to turn up to work on his first day! Lee, who returned from a holiday in Spain on Sunday with girlfriend Nicola Jellyman, pulled a sickie on the hottest day of the year so far, which insiders say made "Sir Alan really cross because he hates being let down." Lee was due to start his £100,000-a-year job yesterday, but a company spokesperson said, "Lee is at home with a virus. He'll be at work as soon as he is well."
 
Nicola Aloud set to earn more than her bandmates
If we asked you to guess which of the lasses from Girls Aloud was the biggest earner, you'd probably say Cheryl Cole or Sarah Harding, right? Us too. But it's emerged that redhead Nicola Roberts is actually on course to scoop the most cash this year, because sales of her new make-up range for pale-skinned ladies have gone through the roof. The special range, launched back in April after Nicola took part in ITV2 show The Passions Of Girls Aloud, is called Dainty Doll and caters for fair-skinned girls such as Nicola herself. The star has spoken out before about her former issues with her skin colouring, admitting that she used to be obsessed with having a tan. Creating this special range was something very close to her heart, so it's fantastic for her that it's done so well. Congrats, Nicola!

Amy deluded about Blake’s release
Amy Winehouse is so convinced that her Blakeincarcerated will be let out of jail in two weeks that she has started to get their Camden love nest ready for his return. The singer even quit The London Clinic, where she has been staying since she was diagnosed with emphysema, on Sunday in a rage – blaming Blakeincarcerated’s homecoming as another reason for walking. But pals are worried that Amy's hopes may well be dashed and have been forced to warn her that her husband faces the very real possibility of staying in jail after being sentenced for assault and trial-fixing. A source said, "Amy's in another world. She's like a child in a woman's body. She has it in her head there is no way Blake can stay inside after he is sentenced in two weeks. She started sorting the house out for his return. It's very sad. Nobody wants to end her hopes that he can come out and they can sort out their differences. But we think she's in for a huge shock and no one knows how she will react."
