Amy rushed to hospital after drugs overdose:
Just yesterday we told you how even Amy's husband Blake(still)incarcerated was pleading with his missus to leave London – and now it would appear that his suggestion came a bit too late. Amy Winehouse was rushed to hospital last night following a suspected drug overdose. An ambulance arrived at the singer's Camden pad just after 8.30pm and paramedics treated the star inside for 40 minutes before taking her back to hospital. Amy's dad Mitch allegedly made the frantic 999 call after his daughter began to have drug-induced fits, and when she was being carried out he yelled to waiting photographers, "She's f***ed up, she's f***ed up!" A fan who happened to be close to the scene said, "Amy was surrounded by police and led into an ambulance in a wheelchair. She wasn't making a sound. Police cars blocked off each end of the street." A clearly distraught Mitch tried to play down the incident, telling onlookers at the scene, "She's fine. She just mixed up her medication." This statement was later confirmed by Amy's spokesman, who also said the star should be home today. However, a medical source claimed that an ambulance was called to a "priority call involving a drugs overdose". Amy spent the night in intensive care under constant observation. This stuff is just getting plain frightening now. We sincerely hope that now Amy will get the help she so clearly needs – and soon.
Walliams stalker sectioned
A woman who stalked Little Britain star David Walliams for over four years was sectioned yesterday. Sarah Bartholomew, 29, began her campaign by sending explicit love letters to the star and following his live show around the country. In one poem she wrote, "I'd rip off your pants in a sexual frenzy, you can have me however you want, I'm ever so bendy." Ooer! Eventually, David's solicitor wrote to the woman asking her to stop the letters, and that's when she became more aggressive. In one letter, she threatened, "I have to have you at any cost. I will kill or abduct you to stop you seeing anyone else." She was yesterday sectioned under the Mental Health Act and will remain in a psychiatric unit until doctors decide she no longer poses a threat to herself or others. David however, clearly in a celebratory mood, took not one but THREE young ladies out to see the Take That musical Never Forget at the weekend, then caused a stir by snogging one of them – a blonde named Cookie – in the back row all evening!
Life on the farm with Liz Hurley
Forget all those airbrushed pictures of Liz Hurley looking super-glam in floor-length gowns – the model is set to film a reality TV show about life on her farm. Liz and husband Arun Nayar own a massive estate in Cirencester, Gloucs, where they keep chicken and sheep (who knew?) and plan on letting the cameras in to show Liz's more "down to earth side". "The first time he saw me in the country, my husband found me in wellies, covered in mud," reckons Liz. But what's the betting that those wellies were diamanté-encrusted, eh Liz?
Sam Sparro steps in to help Lohan
She's tried once and failed, but there's no stopping L-Lo's attempt at a pop career. However, this time it might just work, as Lindsay Lohan has enlisted the help of Sam Sparro, of Black And Gold fame. Sam knows Linds through her girlfriend Sam Ronson's brother, Mark Ronson, who recommended Sam after working with him. "Working with Lindsay is an interesting proposition. I've always been a big fan and I think she's cool. I'll be heading over to LA and New York in a couple fo weeks to start writing for Lindsay and a few other artists. I'm really excited." OMG – could this be the first actress/it girl to actually release a decent song? Hilary/Hayden/Paris take note...
