Russell Brand told to watch his mouth:
Comedian Russell Brand is gearing up for his big night hosting the MTV Awards in September – and has admitted he's been warned not to say certain things on stage. "I've been warned when I'm presenting there are two things I am never allowed to say. One is c*** and the other is Scientology," admitted Russ. The comic doesn't have the best history with being told what to do – he was famously sacked from MTV after turning up to work dressed as Osama Bin Laden on 12 September 2001. Russ sheepishly confesses, "When I was going to meet the Queen the protocol people told me how to bow, but all I could think of was 'Grab her tit!'" The funnyman also said he's enjoying spending time in LA, but is disappointed that he doesn't get recognised everywhere he goes, "People say you must enjoy it that no one knows you're famous in America, but I hate it. Without fame this haircut makes me look like someone who has a mental illness!" Tee hee hee. Do the Americans really know what they've let themselves in for...?
So, why did Amy REALLY collapse?
Ever since Amy Winehouse's collapse and subsequent hospital dash, rumours have been circulating as to the REAL reasons behind it. Initially, Amy's spokesman and her dad Mitch put the scare down to a simple reaction to medication, but overnight new claims have been made. Mitch is now convinced that one of Amy's so-called friends spiked her drink with an ecstasy tablet. A source revealed, "Mitch is furious. He's certain someone put E in Amy's drink – and he's determined to get to the bottom of it." Mitch has reportedly told police of his suspicions, and they are now waiting for the results of a toxicology test to find out what drugs were in Amy's system. In contrast, another report claims that Amy necked loads of shots of different rum during a drinking game at her flat, before taking all ELEVEN of her prescription pills. A pal of the star said, "Amy was downing the neat spirit as part of a game and she was having a great time. The problems started when she took her medication – she clutched her stomach and was in such agony that everyone feared the worst." Yesterday another close friend said, "Perhaps she just had too much rum and it reacted to the tablets she takes." Amy has three big gigs left before her performing schedule is clear and she can return to the studio – but we just think she could take a nice long holiday far away from here to properly recover.
X Factor scraps Sunday-night plans
We can't quite believe it's that time of year already, but in under three weeks' time (on 16 August, to be precise) The X Factor starts again – and already, new plans to change the show have been scrapped. Having seen the sucess of Strictly Come Dancing's Sunday night results show, Simon Cowell had apparently planned on changing X Factor's results show to go out on the Sunday, instead of the Saturday night. However, it's caused all manner of problems, as while Strictly pre-records their Saturday-night show and shows it on Sunday, Simon wanted to keep the drama of X Factor by filming it live on the Sunday (you still awake there?) – meaning another whole day of filming. Which would cost another £500,000. Ouch. Unsurprisingly, an X Factor source says: "We will be sticking to Saturday nights and staying live." Thank the Lord for that.
Pete is STILL not over Kate Moss
He might look like the walking dead and have an unsavoury penchant for playing with baby mice, but Pete Dohetry has a heart too, don't you know. The Babyshambles musician has revealed that he's still not over Kate Moss, saying that he's not met another girl since. "I havent' shacked up with anyone since. I haven't shared my life with anyone," he says. "When you split up with someone you're seriously in love with, it takes alot of time before you even realise you're upset. It just hits you." Oh Pete. Pete, Pete, Pete. If you weren't such a swanky drugs-monster, we'd almost feel sorry for you.
