It's about time there was some decent meat in the house...

Well, it had to happen sooner or later. The housemates are actually – gasp! – getting along with each other. Whether it's the arrival of really nice food, or the fact that so many of them are up for eviction, we don't know – but the house has been a bitching-free zone for over 24 hours. As we told you yesterday, Rex took the gamble of spending the majority of the basic budget on surprise tokens – and his plan paid off. When the shopping was delivered yesterday, the housemates were overjoyed to see such wonders as a whole lamb (dead and skinned, mind you), salmon, exotic fruits, baby octopus and a ham, as well as a pantomime horse outfit, obviously. Kat, whose eyes looked like they were about to pop right out of her head, could only murmur "unbelievable" as she gazed at the treats. Other rewards bought by the group including a token allowing one housemate the chance to watch the VT of their choice with one housemate. Rex, who opened the envelope, predictably and confidently decided to watch his own VT, and has chosen Darnell as his viewing partner. Good job for him that his VT was pretty non-offensive. As they contemplated their possible fates at the hands of the British public, Darnell, Dale , Kat, Stu and Rachel all had a huge group hug in the seating area, and then agreed to all go out for dinner after the show has finished. Luke continues to be convinced that he's going, but so does Stuart. And Rachel. Dale seems pretty unruffled, but has said he wouldn't want to stay in the house if Stu and Luke left. However, the most amusing thing to happen last night had to be the moment Rex was shown a photo of the girl Luke and Lisa picked as his girlfriend. The snap was delivered as one of the special treats with the shopping, but Rex was not impressed. Tossing the photo to the ground, he spat, "My girlfriend is at least 50 times better looking than that girl!" Luke looked rather terrified at his reaction, whispering to Lisa, "We've made a big mistake. I honestly think he wants to punch me." Rex calmed down after a cigarette, but later told Dale, "You'll understand why I was so insulted when you meet my princess." Oh God... Every time he refers to her as his "princess" we start to feel a bit queasy. What did you lot think of the show last night? Are you missing Maysoon? And are you all set for tonight?
