What do YOU think of "shocking" Beyonce advert?

A new L'Oreal ad campaign featuring Beyonce has sparked controversy across the globe. The image, which shows the singer with noticeably paler skin and strawberry-blonde hair, as caused critics to accuse the beauty giant of "whitewashing" Beyonce. When she initially signed with L'Oreal, the star signed a contract saying she would not make any "radical changes" to her appearance – but it would appear that the company had different ideas. As you can see from the pictures above, Beyonce looks remarkably different – and very heavily airbrushed. An American newspaper has labeled the photo "shocking" and "weird", while other websites are slamming them as "severely Photoshopped". The hair colour change can be attributed to the hair dye she's advertising for the campaign, but it's the skin shade that is upsetting people the most. Beyonce herself has declined to comment on the controversy, but L'Oreal have released a statement saying, "It is categorically untrue that L'Oreal Paris altered Ms Knowles' features or skin tone in the campaign." What do you think to all this? Are you outraged, or do you think it's to be expected that a certain amount of airbrushing would be done?

Sorry to disappoint, but I used to work in modelling and mixed race girls are often 'whitened' for mainstream beauty ads (I don't agree with it AT ALL). Plus their noses are often slimmed with makeup shading if they haven't had surgery, sad, but tru

Oh man, it's the lighting! She's not black black anyway, she has light brown skin which has been unfortunately lightened by the setting the photo was taken in. I don't know why everyone is making such a big deal out of it, really.
