Is Katie Holmes a secret superhero?

Just after this picture of Katie Holmes was taken, she ran into the nearest phone box and emerged amid a red and blue blur as a superhero! OK, that's not actually true – but she does look EXACTLY like Clark Kent (aka Superman) in those specs. The actress was snapped wearing the offending eyewear as she left rehearsals in New York today. Could they be her reading glasses? Or is she hoping they'll distract us all from the weird baggy jeans with turn-ups she's been so fond of wearing lately. Seriously, even if you did need to wear glasses, there are other options out there. We bet Katie would only have to snap her fingers and 20 designers would be lining up to design her a pair of more, erm, flattering specs. This pair look like she swiped them from our chemistry classroom 15 years ago. Either Katie really IS a superhero, or she recently lost a very embarrassing bet...
