John Leslie accused of abandoning his “secret daughter”

Bloody hell, John Leslie sure has a lot of negative stories written about him, doesn’t he? The latest revelation is that he has a secret daughter who he never sees – and now the girl’s mother has stepped forward to say how furious she is. Rachel Bentley had a year long relationship with John, and says her two-year-old daughter Isabelle is a result of it. Even though she told John he was the father, she says he refused to accept it, and instead accused her of trying to “trap” him. “He's absolutely entitled to defend himself, but he has done himself no favours by whitewashing us out of his history,” she says. “He maintains that he was a victim; but when it comes to Isabelle he has a choice. Stepping up and taking responsibility as a father is something that he can do, and yet he continues to avoid the whole issue. As far as I'm concerned, it undermines the whole point of him trying to rebuild his reputation. Some friends have asked me why I don't try to force John to accept responsibility by taking legal action – but I don't want to drag my daughter's name through the courts. At the end of the day, I can't force a 43-year-old man to do something he doesn't want to do without expending a lot of energy and going through a lot of upset to both me and my family. I just don't want that.” Ooh, we wonder if John will keep quiet about this one, or come forward and defend himself again…
