X-Factor faker: "I didn't mean to lie"
Shamed X-Factor faker Alan Turner was forced to apologise last night after his father revealed the wannabe singer had lied in his audition. Alan told the judges that he wanted to do well on the show because he wanted to meet his real parents who had given him up – but this was not the case. Alan's dad told newspapers yesterday that his son was a "clot" for making up the sob story, and that the two were definitely in touch. However, after begging with the show's producers, it has been decided that Alan will not lose his place on The X Factor. Alan said, "I honestly didn't mean to lie. The emotion of the audition got to me and I was a bit confused." Hmmm... The tearful contestant then went on to plea, "Please give me another chance. I'm not a bad person. I never meant to deceive anyone." Now the show's producers are saying that Alan's comments could have been misunderstood because of the way his audition was edited. "As far as we are concerned Alan has not deceived us," confirmed an X Factor source, "And this does not affect his place within the show. Oooh, we love how much drama The X Factor has already stirred up – and it's only the third week!

Bailiffs seize BB Jen's designer clobber
She may be off sunning herself in the Med with new squeeze Dale, but back home in the UK, life is far from sunny for Jen. The young mum has had over £1,200 worth of designer goods seized from her home by bailiffs, after she failed to pay her council tax for two years. Naughty Jen owed the council over £3,000, and they were forced to pass the debt over to a recovery firm when she didn't pay up. Jen's husband, who was at the couple's marital home when the bailiffs showed up, had no choice but to let them in and collect a stash of his estranged wife's goods. Among the items confiscated were Dior and Louis Vuitton handbags, Gucci trainers and a designer necklace. Pals say Jen will be "devastated" to lose her stuff, but one friend admitted, "The celebrity lifestyle has gone to her head. She has given up her responsibilities since she left the house – she's too busy jetting around with Dale." Maybe she should have worked harder to stay in BB house – then she might have been lucky enough to win £50,000 during tonight's show...

Kate Moss: "All men are bastards!"
When it comes to giving interviews, she's notoriously silent, so any time Kate Moss decides to open her gob to speak is always going to be interesting. Particularly this time, with the supermodel declaring "All men are bastards!" in a new interview. Blimey. "Absolute b******s. Men are not to be trusted," says Kate in the new issue of US fashion mag Interview. She also thinks her sex life has improved with age, revealing, "I'm a lot better in the sack now." Double blimey. But that's not all – apart from also saying she thinks she used to be too skinny, because of the "disgusting" food served on planes and at photo shoots – Kate also lets rip on boob jobs. "I think they're awful. So many of my friends have had them, and they've gone wrong. One moved up sort of near her shoulder. I'm not into them. I mean, if I got all saggy, like the sacks some women have after children, I'd have them done." Is it just us, or does Kate have a right old potty mouth on her? She wouldn't sound out of place chatting to Peggy over the bar at the Queen Vic – and we love it. More please, Kate! More!
 
Nicollette and Michael split
Sad news – while her other Desperate Housewives co-stars might be babied-up (Marcia Cross) or happily loved-up (Eva Longoria Parker), news reaches us this morning that Nicollette Sheridan (aka Edie Britt), has split with her fiance, cheesy crooner Michael Bolton. The couple, who first dated back in the 90s for five years, had been engaged for two years. A statement from Nic's representative Nicole Perna reads: "Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton have amicably ended their engagement. They appreciate your respect for their privacy in this matter." We're sure a stunner like Nicollette won't be single for long.
