If you buy ONE book this year…

Make it this one! There’s this magazine, right, called, like, Hot or Meat or something? heat, that’s it. Sorry. Anyhoo, until recently, that there magazine was edited by a tall, Girls Aloud-loving bloke called Mark Frith. A few months ago he deserted the poor, deprived souls who work on the magazine because he was offered three packets of Chipsticks and a satsuma to write a tell-all book about his ten years of stalking Nicola Roberts being at the centre of all things celeb. That very book, The Celeb Diaries, is on sale today from all good book shops, some bad ones and some that you don’t even need to leave the house to go to (like this one). So, if you’re at all interested in celebrities (and if you’re not, why are you here? Were you looking for a website on heating and ventilation, you massive bore?) we suggest you read it right now. There’s all sorts of intriguing gossip on *deep breath* Posh and Becks, Big Brother, Will Young, Jude Law, Madonna and basically everyone else you’ve ever heard of and it gives a real insider view on the often bizarre celebrity world. We’ve read it from cover to cover (OK, we skim-read it to see if we got a mention, smiled smugly and then read it properly) and it’s ace, promise. And it’s not like he’s paying us to say so – like we said, he deserted us months ago. *gazes longingly at photo of Mark in heart-shaped frame on desk. cries. realises it’s actually Steve McDonald from Corrie. cries even more*

Got it in Tesco for £9....Really enjoying it, can't put it down and a rather good insight into magazines (quite like Piers Morgans' The Insider). Also makes you feel nostalgic too - upto Paul and Helen BB2 bit!Sob why did it have to end!!x
