Guess where’s been voted the worst-dressed city in the UK…

Now, normally we take these sorts of surveys with a pinch of salt, but when we tried to think of some well-dressed famous ladies who hail from the city voted the worst-dressed place in the UK, we drew a blank. Sorry, Sheffield-dwellers but you’re apparently the worst-dressed people in the country – and you might want to blame your very own Roisin Murphy, who regularly makes it into the style pages for all the wrong reasons. Oh, and the Chuckle Brothers – but we’re not sure they count. Yep, a new survey by a fashion website has found that the Yorkshire city of Sheffield is home to the worst-dressed ladies in the country, with 53 per cent of women aged 18-45 stating that they couldn’t care less about fashion, and only 27 per cent saying they took pride in their appearance. They knocked last year’s fashion loser, Plymouth, off the top of the list. Incidentally, London ladies came out as best-dressed, closely followed by the women of Cheltenham. Here’s the worst-dressed list in full – has your hometown made it in? Are you terribly offended?

1.   Sheffield
2.   Plymouth
3.   Middlesbrough
4.   Dundee
5.   Newport
6.   Slough
7.   Bournemouth
8.   Lichfield
9.   Stoke-On-Trent
10. Bognor Regis

PS. If fashion’s your Balenciaga bag, don’t forget that this week’s heat features a bumper free mag focused on all things style.
