Russell Brand poked fun at the wrong boys...

We admit, until fairly recently, we weren't actually aware of who the Jonas Brothers were. That was until Mr Russell Brand decided to poke fun at them at the VMAs. You see, the Jonas Brothers – as well as being a pop phenomenon, apparently – are committed virgins. Something the, erm, very "friendly" Russell has difficulty getting his head around. Talking about the teen favourites during a semi-political tirade on stage, Russell joked, "Eight years of Bush is what the Jonas Brothers will have to cram into their bachelor party." he also said some other naughty things, but they're mostly too rude to repeat. Anyway, the Jonas Brothers themselves have decided to answer back to the big-haired comedian, with Kevin (in the middle) saying, "We won’t make a special effort to meet up with him. I think if we ever see him we will give him a big hug." A big hug?! He then goes on to explain with a smile, "He [Russell] clearly needs a little love in his life." Um, we don't actually think Russell's got any issues in that department. The boys also rather randomly admitted that they are big fans of President Bush, saying, "He knows the lyrics to our songs and the last time we were there [The White House] he was quoting them all back to us. He told me he really liked a pair of pink shoes I was wearing." We're getting confused. Is he being serious? Does President Bush really have a thing for the Jonas Brother songs and pink shoes? Talking about their chastity vow, Kevin explains, "It’s a personal thing," but does say the boys aren't adverse to a little female company. "We love to date, we really do, but it’s almost impossible with our schedule." We saw the aftermath of Oxford Street in London last time the boys were in town to do an instore signing and it was scary. Seriously, the Jonas Brothers fans are hardcore – Russell Brand should be afraid...
