Blake snubs early prison release:
Er, exactly how stupid is Blakestillincarerated? Amy Winehouse’s good-for-nothing husband has chosen to stay in prison rather than accept early release and stay with his mum Georgette in Nottinghamshire. Prison officers at Edmunds Hill category C prison in Suffolk were going to do the rather nice thing of letting him go free if he agreed to wearing a tag and stick to a 7pm curfew at his mum’s. But Blake snubbed the offer because he insisted on being released home to Camden. “It was all set for him to be released, but because he refused to go to anywhere other than Camden, it was refused at the last minute,” says a source. Somewhat unsurprisingly, Amy was in tears when she heard the news as she thought he would be out for good. What could Blake possibly find so much more appealing in prison, rather than having some TLC from his mum Georgette? Hmmn.
Thieves target Kate Moss
Kate Moss is today counting her blessings after thieves broke into her car – but only made off with £10 and some Quality Street! What? Kate Moss eats Quality Street?! Ahem. The model had parked her Range Rover on the driveway of her north London home and, upon returning, she noticed that one of the windows had been smashed. Kate immediately feared the worst, because she couldn't remember if she'd left a £200,000 diamond ring on the backseat or not, and feared the thieves had nabbed it. Um, if we had a diamond ring, we think we'd remember where we left it. Anyway... A friend of the model's explained, "Kate was absolutely distraught when she saw the broken glass on the driveway. She wasn't sure what she'd left on the backseat, but after a closer look, she was thrilled to find just how little was missing." The police were called and have urged Kate to increase security at her home to make sure nothing like this happens again. We understand, we'd be pretty pissed off if someone stole our Quality Street – especially the purple ones!
Jamie Oliver plans to adopt a son
Jamie Oliver has revealed he wants to add a son to his brood – and might adopt if that’s what it takes. It seems Jamie – who already has two girls (brilliantly named) Poppy Honey and Daisey Boo – is finding the oestrogen levels a little bit high in his home: “I live at home with three girls and I need a bit of testosterone. If I can’t produce a boy I will have to adopt one. I would consider it.” Jamie and wife Jools have no qualms about joining the long list of celebrities, including Angelina and Brad, who’ve gone to a developing country on a baby-adoption trolley dash. “Jools would like to have another child, but there are so many vulnerable orphans out there. Jools and I need to have a very serious conversation about it.” Ooh, watch this space.
Bionic Woman is back in Blighty
She's not the first, and she certainly won't be the last – but Michelle Ryan has abandoned her conquest of the US and returned home to Britain. The former EastEnders star bagged the lead role in Bionic Woman, but the show was axed after just eight episodes. The 24-year-old explained, "I don't want to do another TV series in the States. I like my freedom to jump between jobs and travel and I couldn't do that if I stayed over there." Hmm, so it's nothing to do with the fact that Bionic Woman was a flop? The actress says she was prepared for the show not to be a success, saying, "I was under no illusions when I took the job and I had an amazing time doing it. It's just the way it works over there." Michelle will star in the BBC's new Saturday-night adventure series Merlin, and is also planning to get some work on the West End stage. Maybe she should return to Albert Square as Zoe Slater? We reckon Bradley's going to need a new woman soon...
