Britney on The X Factor – confirmed!
When we first heard that Britney Spears might be performing on The X Factor, we have to say that we raised a slight eyebrow, But now, we take that eyebrow back – because it's been properly, properly confirmed! Yes, Britney has now officially signed the deal to say she's appearing on the show. "We're absolutely thrilled to have her," says Simon. "Everyone wants to work with her because she's such a star. She's the number-one booking in the world at the moment for a show." Meanwhile, Dannii Minogue has signed up Emma Bunton to be her guest judge and help her choose her four X Factor finalists. Dannii, who has the over 25s, has roped in Emma to help choose the oldies at her rented pad in St Tropez. "She's been brilliant – one of the best X Factor guest judges ever. She's really helped me focus on who we should be putting through to the next round." As normal, Simon's guest judge is ex-girlfriend Sinitta, while Louis has Shane from Westlife. Chezza, meanwhile, has roped in Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley.
George is Lisa's number-one fan
Lisa "I once dated George Clooney" Snowdon could be in for some rather nice news – George himself is apparently planning a visit to watch her on Strictly Come Dancing *screams with excitement*. Since splitting with his girlfriend Sarah Larson back in May, George has remained single and now, insiders have revealed that George has been watching the show very closely – and even sent lucky Lisa a good-luck text last week, followed by another one saying how impressed he was with her performance in the group dance. First Britney appearing on X Factor, now George on Strictly – it's all too much excitement for a Friday morning...
Busta Rhymes held at London airport
Rapper Busta Rhymes was held yesterday in London as he tried to enter the UK for a gig. He was stopped at London City Airport at 7:26am on a flight from Amsterdam, and was held for 11 hours after being refused entry to the country because of his convictions in the US for assault, and carrying weapons. But Busta was released at 6:30pm when an injunction was granted stopping him getting sent back to Holland. The UK Borders agency said, “We are selective about who we let in.” Busta is due to perform at the Orange RockCorps charity gig this evening.
Blake set for release
Something tells us that Blakestillincarcerated is a little indecisive. Just days after refusing to leave prison twice (yes, twice), he’s now set for release – but will be avoiding Camden by living with his mum in Lincolnshire. Well, not quite. Despite having to wear an electronic tag and having a 7pm curfew, the enterprising (and, seemingly, hideously rich) chap will take a round trip in a taxi to his beloved wife Amy’s, at almost £500 one-way for the 140-mile trip. And Amy, naturally, is delighted. A pal says, “Amy is obviously chuffed. But more surprisingly, even her friends and family are pleased. Because Blake will have to lead this disciplined life to keep in line with his conditions of release they are hoping it will rub off on her too.” Now that Blakeincarcerated is no longer, what will we call Blake now? Answers on a postcard please.
