Dannii releases statement about THAT rivalry

Ooh, it's been a right old weekend for Dannii Minogue. First, she lands the "oldies" group (however hard she screamed on Sunday night's show, we are SO not convinced she was happy with that decision), and then reports started to break that Dannii would be quitting the show over Cheryl's popularity and the fact that she gets nowhere near as much airtime as Miss Cole. Now, Dannii has taken the unusual step of releasing a statement to quash the rumours – read it in full here...

“I’m not jealous. I’m not furious. There are no pre-live show crisis talks and there are no ultimatums. I love being a part of The X Factor and we (the judges) are all having so much fun this year. Just by watching all the backstage and behind-the-scenes footage on The Xtra Factor you can see we are all one big happy family. I missed two audition days in Birmingham as I was filming the Grand Final of Australia’s Got Talent on the other side of the world, so for this reason, it may appear to some that I’m missing from the show – this is for the simple reason that I wasn’t there! I’m so thrilled with my final three, and Team Minogue are ready for battle.” Wonder what she’ll think when she hears about Cheryl’s rumoured £500,000 pay rise?
