What with The X Factor and High School Musical basically taking over our lives at the moment, we're keen to get our hands (and eyes and ears) on anything remotely musical, which is why we've been really enjoying the hip Sky1 show, Hairspray: The School Musical. In case you've got no idea what we're talking about (and if so, what are you thinking?!), the show started at the end of August and follows a group of talented school children from Kingsmeade School in Enfield working together to put on a West-End standard school production of Hairspray. With help from industry insiders and the lovely Denise Van Outen they managed to pull it off and, this Sunday, very excitingly, they will be showcasing the final show on Sky1. We've been hooked since week one and, we think you'll agree, some of these youngsters are so talented that they put that X Factor bunch to shame. Not only will you be able to watch the completed show this Sunday (Sky1 and Sky1 HD at 6pm), but you can now also download the single You Can't Stop The Beat, with all proceeds going to the school. It's funky, fresh and feel-good and, as we all know, musical tracks are so the thing right now. Have a listen to the track here and let us know what you think.
