Madge and Guy's divorce – it's been confirmed

We were still keeping everything crossed that this was just another rumour, but, alas, it has now been OFFICIALLY confirmed by Madge's publicist that Madonna and Guy WILL be getting a divorce.

An official statement from the couple is expected later this evening.

Liz Rosenburg, who has worked with Madonna for many years, said in a statement, co-signed by a representative of film director Guy Ritchie, that the couple had not agreed a settlement.

Here is the statement:
"Madonna and Guy Ritchie have agreed to divorce after 7 and a half years of marriage. They have both requested that the media maintain respect for their family at this difficult time. A final settlement has not been agreed upon yet."

So, there you go, it's official. And we're all feeling a bit sad...
