Now Girls Aloud slag off Javine – brilliant!

Ooh, this puts shivers up our spine. If you can cast your mind back a few years, you’ll remember that Javine was very nearly a member of Girls Aloud – but thankfully, the Popstars: The Rivals viewing public selected Sarah Harding instead. But now, in a sizzling interview with Attitude magazine (out tomorrow), the girls have reflected on how different things would have been if Javine had joined – and it’s fair to say the girls aren’t the biggest fans. “Oh. My. God,” says Kimberley. “We really, really would not be here now. Having Javine… that alone could have made us finish.” Sarah modestly agrees that they would have been “fucked” without her. “She was not a team player,” she adds. Cheryl agrees. “There’s noooooo way this band would have worked with her in it,” she says. “But even more than that, I just can’t imagine this band without Missus Hardcore here!” We love what Nadine has to say about the whole thing too. “We’re ALL camp,” she says. “I mean our shows are so OTT. We have eight half-naked boys whirling around. We can't say no to anything in terms of clothes, styling, what kinda songs we’re singing, the choreography. We would fly onto the stage on the back of Sesame Street ducks, if we thought we would be able to get away with it. But Sarah? Sarah is the campest, no doubt about it. She's just that bit flamboyant, you'll always hear her before you see her. She's like a whirlwind blowing through the room, with about ten red bulls left in her wake. It'll be all quiet and you'll hear like [makes the sound of a cat being strangled] and you’re like: ‘Sarah’s here.’” The thought of Girls Aloud without Sarah is very bleak indeed – can you imagine moody-chops Javine shimmying around to Biology? It all could have gone so very, very wrong…
