Stars dress to impress at the British Fashion Awards

We know there's been a lot of award bashes lately, but never is the pressure to look your best on more than at the Fashion Awards. Last night, the top names (and some of the bottom ones) from the celebrity and fashion world descended on London for the British Fashion Awards – and there were certainly some, erm, interesting choices of style on display. Special mention must be made of Sophie Ellis Bextor, who arrived looking absolutely gorge in a dress from Topshop! Yes, really! And we mustn't forget Roisin Murphy, who yet again did her best to make us laugh by wearing a comedy hat. That is what she's setting out to do, isn't it? Anyway, other style winners on the night included Meg Mathews, whose new sleek and brunette look just gets better and better, and Alexa Chung, who just always looks good – damn her!
