Nicola leaves the jungle – and slags off DVD!
She came, she moaned, she strutted around in a teeny bikini, she argued with David, she moaned some more, she...you get the picture. Well, last night the British public finally decided they'd had enough of Nicola McLean and she was told to leave the I'm A Celeb jungle. And what was the WAG and model most upset about? Yep, that's right, the fact that she was voted out before her enemy David Van Day. The pair bickered almost constantly while in the camp together, with each accusing the other of winding them up deliberately. We didn't care who started it, to be honest, we just loved all the arguments. A defiant Nicola told Ant and Dec last night that David should not be allowed to win the show, despite rumours that he's now the bookies favourite to take the jungle crown. "It's rubbish that David is in there. It's a real shame if David wins, I'll be so, so upset. He is the wrong person to win it." warming to her subject, Nicola went on to tear strips of the former pop star, saying, "He's desperate to be famous and I didn't even know who he was. I know no one knew who I was, but at least I've got big boobs, haven't I?" Erm, so that makes you better than David, how, exactly? Although Nicola was clearly gutted to be out before David, she did say she was glad to be out of camp, and then backed Simon or Joe to win the show. Do you think the right person went last night?
 
Blake sent back to prison
When we heard this little nugget of news this morning, we wanted to bash our heads against the desk. Blake Fielder-Civil will soon be Blakeincarcerated once again, after breaking the terms of his early release. The wayward addict fled the rehab centre where he's being treated in Surrey, and dashed to the London Clinic to see his wife Amy. Reports are suggesting that Blake had just failed a drug test, meaning that he would definitely go back to prison. After saying just this weekend that he blamed himself for Amy's troubles with drugs and that he would stay away from her, the 26-year-old still wanted one last face-to-face meeting with her before the authorities arrived. An onlooker at the clinic where Amy's being treated said, "He turned up and all hell broke loose – everyone was totally shocked. He was asking Amy to forgive him, as he was going back inside anyway – he didn't have much to lose." Friends (he still has some?!) of Blake say they are furious with him for messing up his rehab programme, with one ranting, "He's blown it!" He could now be locked up for another year, but Amy's pals are relieved, saying, "Now he is out of the picture again she can concentrate on getting her life back on track." We are keeping every finger and toe crossed that this does happen, but our cynical hats are staying put.

VB spills all about new fashion line
Ooh – VB’s really spoiling us today. She’s gone and done a tell-all interview to celebrate the launch of her new range of dresses, and it makes for very interesting reading. Her dresses go on sale today, and they’re really quite pricey, ranging from £650 to £1,900 – but Victoria’s not worried about the credit crunch having a negative effect on her sales. She says, “In these recessionary times, and at these prices, women are looking for something that will be an investment, won’t they?” But even if you’ve got the cash to splash, you can forget about dressing in VB if you’re anything over a size 14, as the fancy frocks only go up to a size 12. Tut tut. And what input did she have designing the dresses? Not a lot, really. At least she’s honest. She admits, “Do I draw (the designs)? No. But I put it all on myself and walk around in it, and I know what feels comfortable.” Hmm. And while VB hasn’t actually designed the dresses, she believes fashion is her real calling in life as, despite being one fifth of one of the most successful girl groups ever, she can’t sing. She adds, “I was never that good a singer, but I think I am good at fashion. Even when I was at school, where I was bullied, I was always customising my uniform.”
 
Paul O’Grady in snake bite drama
Bizarre story of the year award goes to Paul O’Grady. Why? Well, his very existence was plunged into turmoil after a 2ft snake viciously attacked him in his very own home. Imagine! The venomous adder slinked into Paul’s home from a pile a firewood and bit his arm – causing him to FEAR for his LIFE. He says, “There was blood gushing. I saw puncture marks and realised I’d been bitten.” Paul then phoned a local hospital, who reassured him the bite wasn’t fatal and Paul carried on as normal, sweeping the snake out with a broom. Er, we're not sure we'd have been quite as calm as Paul – heatworld once found a snake in our bathroom and ran out of the house screaming, refusing to go back in.
