The truth about Take That “pulling out” of The X Factor final

When we read in’t papers this morning that Take That had apparently pulled out of The X Factor final because they were furious that their “old rivals” Boyzone were performing, we were a little sceptical. After all, Take That are such nice boys – can Mark Owen even do fury?! – and Boyzone weren’t really big until Take That had gone their separate ways, so we’ve never thought of them as rivals. Anyway, we thought we’d check out the rumour and it turns out our hunch was right – according to an X Factor spokeswoman, TT were never booked to appear. “They are in Italy booked for a gig anyway so they were never an option to perform,” she said. As much as we’d like to see TT, they have been on the show already. Unlike Boyzone, Beyonce, Seal and Duffy, who have all reportedly been lined up to sing with the finalists. Who would you like to see them dueting with?

X Factor story-a load of twaddle! I knew it was as soon as I heard it! I saw 'em in Madrid 12Dec'08 (got close to all of them-a kiss from Mark, spoke2Jason a few times, got a handshake from Gary&all in 1day!). They flew from Madrid2Rome Sat 13Dec'08!

Er I think you'll find that Take That and Boyzone were actually pretty big rivals in 95 and 96 culminating in the much hyped "Battle of the Boybands" when they both released singles on the same day. Take That won....
