Oh, this has made us chuckle. It’s fair to say that the Cheeky Girls aren’t exactly known for their style and sophistication, so we don’t think that old Al Fayed chap will ever get them to open the Harrods sale. However, they’ve found a much more appropriate market for their ribbon-cutting skills – this morning they opened up a 99p shop! The bargainous shop has just opened on the site of an old Woolworths branch (*sobs into bag of gone-off pick ’n’ mix*) in Stratford, east London – and Monica and Gabriela were on hand to take the depression out of the recession with their total willingness to do absolutely anything for cash. We wouldn’t want them any other way…
