Chris Brown arrested over 'Rihanna' assault claim
She was supposed to be up on stage performing at the Grammys, but singer Rihanna was forced to pull out at the last minute just as it was announced that her boyfriend Chris Brown was being investigated over an assault claim. LA police report that Chris had argued with an unidentified woman – claimed by LA news reporters to be Rihanna – on Saturday night, and that the fight escalated when they got out of a car. "The woman suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker," explained the police. Rihanna is now said to be resting in hospital, while Chris Brown has handed himself into the police. The R&B singer walked into an LAPD station about halfway through the Grammys and was officially booked on a felony battery. He bail was set at $50,000. Rihanna and Chris were both due to perform at the Grammys, and both were also nominated for awards. What should have been an exciting night for them ended in an awful way. We'll bring you any new information about this shocking story as we have it.

Shock! Kate wins award, DOESN’T cry!

Kate Winsalot lived up to her (made up by heatworld) name last night as she scooped up yet another Best Actress award for her role in The Reader, and thankfully managed to control her emotion during her acceptance speech this time. Kate was among a host of British stars who walked away from the Baftas with a gong in hand, while US stars such as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who had made the trip over to rainy London specially, walked away from the ceremony empty handed. Slumdog Millionaire was the big winner of the night, scooping a cool seven Baftas, including the prize for Best Film and Best Director for Danny Boyle. Mickey Rourke left audiences shocked when he gave a rather sweary acceptance speech for his Best Actor gong, but host Jonathan Ross wasn't put off, quickly quipping, "After that speech you're suspended for three months!" Other big winners included Heath Ledger for Best Supporting Actor, Penelope Cruz for Best Supporting Actress and Noel Clarke for the Rising Star. For more Bafta gossip and a look at all the best and worst frocks, come back here at 10am.

Peaches’ marriage is over

Peaches Geldof and Max Drummey’s relationship is already over – after just 186 days. According to reports, the short-lived marriage ended because of Peaches "intimate friendship" with another rock star. Bob Geldof’s daughter is said to be "besotted" by The Virgins front man Donald Cumming, who she has been pictured out and about with on several occasions. A friend claims, "Peaches has been seeing Donald for weeks. She really likes him. She couldn't care less about Max. As far as she's concerned she just married him for a laugh and he needs to move on now that she's got bored of him." Max and Peaches released a joint statement confirming their split on Saturday, but claimed that there was no one else involved.

Boo! Todd’s voted off DOI
Sunday nights just won't be the same any more, now that Todd Carty's been booted off Dancing On Ice. The ex-EastEnder won the hearts of the audience with his inability to ice-skate, which in turn had viewers in stitches. But last night he took his last dance on ice after appearing in the skate-off with rugby blokey Ellery Hanley. Todd was dubbed the John Sergeant of the series having been saved by the public week in week out, despite his poor skating – but this week, despite managing to stay standing throughout the routine, he was still awarded the lowest score by the judges and ended up being in the bottom two. But Todd was gracious in defeat saying, "I'd like to thank every one of the British public from the bottom of my heart."
