Brits day is here! Woop!
heatworld's very excited today – and it's not just because McFly are being played on the radio as we write, although that helps – because tonight it's the Brit Awards! Woop, woop! All the big names in music – except perhaps Leona Lewis, ahem – will be in the capital tonight hoping to collect one of the coveted gongs for service to ears the world over, and we're very excited about it. Bands such as Take That, Coldplay, Girls Aloud and even The Pet Shop Boys will be taking part, along with artists including Duffy, James Morrison, Will Young and Estelle – it's going to be a feast of who's who in music. Everyone in the business wants to get a Brit, and the ceremony itself is guaranteed to be a blast, what with Mat Horne and James Corden hosting the proceedings with Kylie, and a number of one-off surprise performances promised. Coldplay are even rumoured to be dueting with Take That, which we'd love to see, and we're also keeping everything crossed (OK, everything except the fingers we're using to type this) that Robbie Williams will show up. He has been over here recently, and he does always seem to have a good night at the Brits. We can hope... Are you excited about watching the Brits later tonight, and who do you think will be walking away with a gong in hand?

Jade tries on wedding dress
It was an emotional moment for Jade Goody last night, as she tried on her wedding dress for the first time and defiantly swore she will be walking down the aisle this weekend. Jade, who had to be supported by her mum Jackiey when she tried on the gown, is still determinedly making plans for this weekend's ceremony, despite becoming increasingly frail in hospital. One of Jade's best friends Kate, who is also going to be a bridesmaid to the star, talked emotionally about how her longtime pal is coping, saying, "Jade always says, 'Don't worry, everything will be alright'. She is one of the few people that always amazes me." She also goes on to say that despite her ill health, Jade continues to worry more about others than herself, and that she's pleased her condition has prompted hundreds of women to go and get checked out. "She is really proud of that," says Kate.

Oh no! Now Paul O'Grady's quitting TV!
First it was Holly Willoughby, and now heat favourite Paul O'Grady has hinted that he will quit his chat show when is contract is up at the end of the year. The popular host, who has been dogged with health troubles, revealed that he had a career check while away in Barbados with pal Cilla Black. He said, "My contract with Channel 4 comes up at the end of this year. I'm not sure what will happen after that. Funnily enough, Cilla asked me what I'm going to do and I just don' t know. I never do TV for money or fame and I always like to go out on a high when everything is going really well. I always think one morning I'll wake up, the penny will drop and I'll just stop." Paul O'Grady signed a £2million golden handcuffs deal in 2006 and renewed it last year, but says he would take a wage freeze "in this current climate." Wouldn't we all on that much...?

New SATC film details!
As we eagerly await the Sex And The City sequel, little bits and pieces about the plot are already leaking out. And although the details are limited, SJP has revealed that we can expect something a little different this time round. She said, "The last one, we got to tell a really mature, sophisticated story that had real heartbreak in it, and this time, I think we want a romp. We want our audience to have a massive romp." Oo-er Mrs. Whatever can she mean?
