The best Brits ever? It certainly was for Duffy...
There was extravagance, amazing performances, Kylie's 90 or so dress changes and Take That even came on stage in a UFO – yes, the Brits were everything we'd hoped them to be and more. Despite music heavyweights such as Coldplay, Radiohead and The Verve all being nominated, last night definitely turned into one for the ladies, after Duffy picked up three awards. She managed to hold it together quite well at first, but by the third the poor thing was all teary. Bless. Duffy was awarded Best British Female, Best British Album for Rockferry and Best British Breakthrough Act. Not too bad. Girls Aloud were also left ecstatic last night, after winning the award for Best British Single for their hit The Promise. Sarah Harding – never one to mince her words – delightedly announced to the crowd, "It's about time!". Katy Perry was another lady beaming all over her face last night, after she scooped the prize for Best International Female. Other big winner on the night included Paul Weller for Best British Male, Elbow for Best British Group, Kings Of Leon for Best International album and group, and Kanye West for Best International Male. Did you watch the ceremony last night? Who do you think gave the best performance, and did the right artists win?

Jade finds the strength to leave hospital
A defiant Jade Goody yesterday battled through her pain to make the journey back to her Essex home. The BB star, who was said to be "yearning" for home so she could enjoy the views of the countryside, gritted her teeth and left the London hospital where she's been staying still connected to a morphine drip, and sucking a pain-killing lollipop. Her publicist Max Clifford had previously said Jade was anxious about returning home because it would be harder to manage her pain, but friends of the star say that she'd "had enough" of the hospital. Jade, who looked frail and needed help getting into the air ambulance as she left hospital, said, "I've got a lovely view from my bedroom. I can get more ill here – or more ill there." Despite her pain, Jade is still busily planning her wedding and, more tragically, her funeral. We don't think we could even begin to be as brave as Jade if we were in her situation, and as always our thoughts are with her.

Slumdog star dumps her "mystery husband"

It has been alleged today that Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto has a secret husband, and that since finding success she's dumped him. Ooer. The pretty 24-year-old is alleged to have met Rohan Antao while she was still at college and the pair later married in secret, only ever admitting to friends that they were engaged. Since Slumdog started making headlines across the world and just after the Golden Globes, Rohan says that his wife simply stopped calling him. A friend told an Indian newspaper, "He is completely shocked at being dumped and is heartbroken." Another friend of the star claimed, "[They] were deeply in love with each other. Rohan and Freida had decided to keep their marriage a secret till they felt ready to talk about it openly." Rohan has now reportedly changed his relationship status on Facebook from "committed" to "single". Well, that makes it official then.

Amy's house-hunting in St Lucia
This week heat magazine brought you the news that Amy Winehouse would not be returning to the UK anytime soon – instead favouring the Caribbean life she has become accustomed to. And now the singer is even house hunting in St Lucia! Pals say that Amy plans to avoid old haunts by living on the isle and that she will also buy a house in leafy Hadley Wood, north London, in an attempt to get her life back on track if and when she does return. One added, "Her family think the best way to keep her out of trouble is to have a house in the suburbs and a place in the Caribbean." We wish we could afford a little Caribbean hideaway!
