Do YOU think Pete deserves to win Sexiest Male tonight?!

So, in theory, it’s the most rock ’n’ roll of all the awards ceremonies tonight, as the NME Awards take place at Brixton Academy. And, because it’s the NME and all that, we wouldn’t expect, say, David Beckham to be on the shortlist for Sexiest Male – but surely they could do better than Pete Doherty? OK, so we acknowledge that Pete does have plenty of charm and charisma, and there’s definitely a handsome man under all that dirt and grease, but he still wouldn’t make our top five in a million, billion years. We're sure he'll be gutted by that news, what with all those models he manages to pull. Anyway, Pete's up for the award along with his former bandmate Carl Barat, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, Keith Murray from We Are Scientists (yeah, he’s fit, but he’s called Keith) and Miles Kane from Last Shadow Puppets. So, do you see the appeal of Pete, or does he make you sick in your mouth?
