C4 forced to reveal secret

So now we know what goes on behind the scenes in Big Brother when things get a tad out of hand. Channel 4 has been forced by TV regulator Ofcom to reveal previously secret conversations in the Celeb BB house in January, which occurred in the middle of Shilpagate.

You can download the documents themselves, which include the housemates who banded together against Shilpa making disturbing references to her as they tried to make up a jokey limerick, but perhaps the most surprising element of the whole episode is that Big Brother held secret chats with housemates Jo and Jack in which they were told to remove their microphones and were then formally warned about their allegedly racist behaviour.

According to Channel 4, producers Endemol didn't reveal to them that these conversations occurred until after the whole series finished. Channel 4 and Endemol have now put new practices into place to try to make sure nothing like this happens again in BB8. But it looks like the pressure's on Big Brother like never before...
