Adnan faces deportation from the US

While things are most certainly on the up for Britney Spears (she’s looking ace! Her tour is ace! Her single’s ace!), the same can’t be said for her one-time boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib. Adnan could be deported from the US after facing three assault charges – and could even face deportation to Afghanistan. Adnan has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon, hit and run, and battery after an incident last month when he tried to run over a court official, who was attempting to serve him with a restraining order. Adnan could either end up in jail in the US for up to seven years, or could – depending on what he lists his nationality as on court papers – be deported to Afghanistan, where he lived until he was five years old. A Los Angeles police source says, “'There is some confusion on his court documents over where he comes from. Some list the country as Afghanistan, but another states his nationality as British.” Adnan, however, has pleaded innocent to the charges and was released on £80,000 bail, with the hearing taking place on 2 April.
