Tributes flood in for tragic Natasha:
We were all hoping for a miracle here at heatworld, but sadly actress Natasha Richardson passed away last night in New York. The 45-year-old star of films including The Parent Trap and Wild Child died after suffering a blow to the head when she fell over on a ski slope in Montreal. Last night her husband Liam Neeson's publicist made the official statement, saying, "Liam Neeson, his sons (Micheal, 13, and 12-year-old Daniel), and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time." The sudden and unexpected death of the happy mum and wife has sent a ripple of shock through Hollywood, with fellow stars and colleagues lining up to pay tribute. US legend Martha Stewart said on her Twitter page, "Just heard the tragic news about poor Natasha Richardson. Her family must be devastated. My sincerest condolences to all." Wild Child director Nick Moore, who worked with Natasha on what was to be her last film, said last night, "She was wonderfully generous and kind; a complete joy to be with." It's all just too awful to comprehend, and here at heatworld our thoughts are with Natasha's friends and family.

Strong Jade defies doctors
We've all had that feeling of teetering on the edge of a cliff ever since the news that Jade had "days to live" was announced, but friends of the ailing BB star claim she is remaining strong, and is doing her best to cling to life. One pal said, "She is showing just how strong she is and refuses to curl up and die. She is sticking two fingers up at the Grim Reaper." Jade has reportedly been singing, and doing her best to stay awake and spend time with Jack and her mum, but despite her obvious strength, the whole predicament is clearly taking its toll. Yesterday Jade's mum Jackiey fled the house in tears, admitting to reporters, "The mood inside is very sombre." However, another friend said yesterday, "Jade is aware everyone is watching and waiting, and she is having the last laugh. We're so proud of her."

EastEnders to get a hot new hunk?
Exciting news now from the world of soaps. It is being strongly hinted at this morning that everyone's (especially heatworld's) favourite cockney sexpot Danny Dyer is being lined up to be the latest newaddition to Albert Square. EastEnders bosses have reportedly been searching for the ideal person to help give the show a boost in the ratings, and Danny Dyer fits the bill perfectly. Not only is he actually from the East End, but there's also the fact that he's a damn fine actor AND pretty darn hot to boot. We think even Mini Den's crown may be toppled in the Walford Hunks contest if this rumour turns out to be true. What about you lot? Would you like to see Danny Dyer in the Old Vic?

X Factor winner dropped from record label
Despite winning over an army of female fans with his sexy accent and vulnerable nature in The X Factor, Leon Jackson sadly failed to set the charts alight, and has promptly been dropped by his record label. The 20-year-old's debut album Right Now only sold 130,000 copies, which wouldn't have been too bad, except for the fact that runner-up Rhydian Roberts' album shifting over 500,000. Oops. Poor Leon must be disappointed, but is remaining in good spirits, saying today, "I had a great year and learned so much. Every artist knows these things can go either way." Leon will still complete his planned tour, but there are no plans at this stage for him to release any more music.
