Jade to be honoured with a statue

Jade Goody looks set to be honoured with a statue or commemorative plaque near her childhood home – after council bosses were bombarded with demands for Jade to be commemorated. Jade, who increased awareness of the importance of women to be regularly screened for cervical cancer, looks as though she will be recognised for her efforts. Bob Skelly, chair of Bermondsey community council in South London, said, “The council has plans for the Dickens Estate area where Jade grew up, and I’m sure we could do something.”

You are kidding? Would the statue depict her with her 'kebab' out? Or maybe her yelling at Shilpa Shetty? Giving someone a blow job on live tv? What happened to her was tragic but she was just one of many women who have to go through this hell.

I'm sorry that Jade Goody died but she isnt the only woman in the world to die of cancer. She doesn't really deserve a statue if im being honest.

WTFH! So many other people who did more with their lives than go on the chavviest show around, BB, have done lots for cancer awareness, but they don't have statues. This is becoming patheticly ludicrous, and I'm disappointed in Britain over this.

yes its sad that jade lost her life to cancer and yes she has raised awareness but remember JANE TOMLINSON and all she did for cancer research? where's her statue???

WTF!!?! Yes I know it was very sad she died from cancer, but come on, all the other people in the world that suffer and die from this, what do they get except a gravestone!! Die with dignity and a bit of class - well over the top she isnt the queen
