Jade’s letter to her boys:
It was revealed last night that Jade Goody created a special keepsake book for her two young sons before she passed away, which contains photos and messages from their time together. The young mum wanted her sons Freddie and Bobby to have something to remember her by. The book also contains a poignant letter to the boys from Jade, which reads: "To Bobby and Freddie, I thank God that we made the most of all our time together and I treasure the moments we shared. I know that with the help of Nanny Jackiey, Jack and Daddy Jeff you will turn into fine, upstanding young men. We had so many wonferful adventures together, from horse-riding and fishing in Wales to camel rides in the desert of Abu Dhabi and water fights at Butlins. These are my precious memories. Some person much wiser than me once said that if you never discovered something you would die for, then you haven't lived. Well, you are both proof that I have lived. I will love you always. Mummy." As the final preparations for Jade's funeral on Saturday continue, Jack Tweed was yesterday seen wandering among the flowers and tributes left at the star's home. Friends say thinking about the funeral is "getting him down", and that he's doing his best to stay busy.
Madonna’s adoption is “totally heartfelt”
She'd been told that no decision would be made until Friday, but last night it became clear that Madonna would definitely be granted approval to adopt four-year-old Mercy James from Malawi. The little girl was pictured leaving the orphanage, where she has spent most of her short life, for what is expected to be the final time yesterday, as she set out on a trip to Madonna's luxury lodge. While guests dined, Mercy was taken round the house by her new brother David Banda, who excitedly told everyone, "This is my new sister!" Although the official court ruling won't be until Friday, a source last night revealed, "Judge Chombo must still make her ruling – but that ruling will be in favour of Madonna." Last night the star's publicist Liz Rosenberg released a statement in answer to Madge's critics, saying, "The adoption process for Mercy began over a year ago when Madonna met her on one of her visits to Malawi. The connection was instant and profound. Madonna's desire to adopt Mercy is totally heartfelt. She is not skirting any legal issues in her application to adopt this child and is looking to provide a loving family environment and the best education and health care possible for a child who has been in an orphanage since her birth." Madonna herself seems unaffected by the criticism, and continues to say she's "very excited" about the prospect of bringing Mercy home.
The name’s Quinn, Ray Quinn
He may be pint-sized, but Dancing On Ice victor Ray Quinn has very big dreams – he reckons he’d be the perfect choice to play James Bond! “My ultimate dream is to be James Bond – maybe when Daniel Craig throws the towel in,” he says. “I’d give it a few years, though. Bond needs to be more mature looking than me!” Quinny also has his sights set on cracking America and has hinted that he’d ultimately like to quit the UK for Hollywood.
Queen Latifah sued for $1million. Ouch!
Actress, soul chanteuse, chat-show host and former rapper (phew!) Queen Latifah is being sued by a fashion stylist and make-up artist who claim she owes them the humungous sum of one million dollars. In two separate lawsuits, Susan Moses and Roxanna Floyd allege that the star failed to pay them for work they carried out between 2005 and 2008, including helping Queen develop a lingerie line and a make-up range. Legal papers were filed earlier this week in New York, but a spokesperson for Queen Latifah has said that the legal actions have no merit.
