The latest on Mat Horne’s shock collapse
Theatre-goers were left shocked yesterday afternoon, after actor Mat Horne collapsed on stage during a matinee performance. The Gavin & Stacey star, who has been working around the clock for the past few months, slumped forward in his seat on stage, and fell to the floor. Co-star Simon Paisley Day quickly rushed over and called for a doctor, and Mat was placed in the recovery position before being carried off stage on a stretcher and taken to hospital. The worried audience were quickly ushered out of Trafalgar Studios, and it was later revealed that Mat would not be performing in the evening show. A source close to the actor explained, "He's simply exhausted. He hasn't had a day off in weeks." Mat's co-star Simon described what happened, saying, "At first I thought he was acting, as he fell so gracefully." Mat has now returned home from hospital, where he was told he was suffering from exhaustion and stress. It is not known whether he'll be well enough to return to work straight away, but friends say he's "OK" after getting some rest. We hope you feel better soon, Mat.

Jack to leave Jade’s wake early
Jack Tweed will have to leave his wife Jade Goody's wake early – for fear of breaking his curfew. Under the terms of his probation, Jack will have to be back at his mum Mary's home for 7pm, while friends and family continue the celebration of Jade's life without him at Blake's Golf Club in Ongar, Essex. A friend of Jack's said, "He’s very upset that he will miss the send-off, but he will be home in time. Jade wouldn’t have wanted him to get in trouble.”

Kerry "vanishes"

Kerry Katona, who’s had a rough time of things recently what with all her financial and hubby shenanigans, sparked new fears for her health by disappearing for a day. She had attended a funeral with husband Mark Croft, and was supposed to be taking part in an interview and photoshoot afterwards, but instead left her house, turned off her mobile phone and vanished. When she finally returned to her house in Wilmslow, Cheshire yesterday she refused to say where she’d been. “She’s gone into complete meltdown,” says a friend.

Amy flies back to St Lucia
Amid rumours that her record company rejected the reggae-influenced songs she’d prepared for the follow-up album to Back To Black, Amy Winehouse has jetted back to St Lucia. She’ll be spending the next few weeks working with Salaam Remi, who produced her first album Frank, and writing new songs. It’s unlikely she’ll be flying home anytime soon though – having spent 71 days in St Lucia earlier this year, she’s also busy house-hunting during her trip.
