Jack asks fans to now "let Jade rest in peace"
Concerned members of Jade Goody's family last night made a plea to her fans not to think of her grave site as a "shrine". The late BB star's widower Jack Tweed said to a friend last night, "It's time to let Jade rest in peace. There's been enough attention and it's time to let her be." The family had hoped that the burial place would remain a secret, but now it's feared that hundreds of mourners will visit over the next few days. A family friend explained, "Jack doesn't want the whole graveyard being trampled by strangers. He'll get very upset if he tries to visit over the next few days and there are hundreds of people there." There are now reports that the family may even hire security to protect Jade's grave if things "get out of hand". Thousands of mourners lined the streets this weekend to say good bye to Jade, and her funeral has been compared to that of Princess Diana.

More heartache for Madonna
The Malawian orphan set to be adopted by Madonna was sent back to her orphanage last night – after authorities refused the adoption last week. Reports claim that Mercy James spent the day in tears, pleading, "Where's my Mummy?" before she was whisked back to the home she came from bewildered and upset. The Queen of Pop was later snapped at Luton airport, greeted by her ex-hubby Guy Ritchie, looking forlorn and distressed. Madonna was said to be devastated by the news of her failed bid to adopt Mercy, and has already lodged an appeal against the court adoption ruling. The boss of Mercy's orphanage, the Kondanani Children's Home, said the youngster "could not understand where her new family had gone." Annie Chikhwaza said, "It's devastating for Mercy. She had bonded with her new family and was calling for Madonna, saying, 'Where is my Mummy?"

5,000 complain over EastEnders storyline
BBC soap EastEnders has been inundated with over 5,000 complaints ever since Thursday night's dramatic episode, in which Danielle Jones – played by actress Lauren Crace – was mown down by Janine Butcher just seconds before she could have an emotional reunion with her mum Ronnie (Samantha Janus). Now over 5,500 fans have signed an online petition complaining about the storyline's heartbreaking conclusion. One disgruntled fan wrote, "We, the fans of the show, believe it is a mistake to write out the most pivotal character in possible the storyline EastEnders has had." Stunned 'Enders sources say they are "surprised" with the reaction. Did you watch Danielle's shocking exit from the Square? Are you outraged that she never got her happily ever after, or are storylines like this simply what EastEnders is all about?

Kate Moss writing cookery book

Apparently Kate Moss is set to pen her very own cookery book, after being inspired by Stasha Palos (the stepdaughter of her good friend and billionaire businessman Phillip Green), who has already written a cookery book of traditional Jewish meals. After trying out the recipes on boyfriend Jamie Hince, Kate is said to be really into the idea. An insider reveals, "Kate recently cooked Jamie a slap-up Jewish meal following kosher techniques from Stasha. She loves her easy-to-follow recipes. It's all she's been talking about." The Croydon-born supermodel has been trying her hand at all sorts of different meals, including chicken noodle soup, salt beef and potato latkes and honey cakes. The insider adds, "She is buzzing about the idea of being the first supermodel to release a cookery book." A model writing a cookery book? Next they’ll be telling us they actually eat, too...
