Avril Lavigne splits from her husband

It's the rumour that just won't go away: Avril Lavigne has allegedly separated from her husband of two years, Deryck Whibley. The young couple, who wed when Avril was just 22, are said to have been growing apart for months, with the main problem being Deryck's dwindling career. The lead vocalist and guitarist from the once hugely popular band Sum 41 is said to have struggled to cope as his career went downhill and Avril's went from strength to strength. A source close to the couple claims, "Deryck isn’t motivated in his own career, so he’s been drinking and partying." Oh dear. Well, we can only cross our fingers and toes and hope that this is just a rumour. They are a very cute couple, aren't they?
