Poor old Steve Brookstein... It must be hard for him, watching all the X Factor newbies becoming more famous by the day, while he...well, slips off the face of the famous map forever. Well, the first-ever X Factor winner isn't going down without a fight. In a new interview with Radio 5 Live, Steve has blasted the TV talent show that put him on the map, saying, "It is sad that there are going to be people who are going to be publicly humiliated. It is a form of bear-baiting." The soulful crooner won the first series of The X Factor under the careful mentoring of Simon Cowell, and his first album Heart And Soul went to Number One. However, Steve's fame was sadly short-lived, and he was unceremoniously dropped from his record label after his second album sold just 7,000 copies. Moaning about The X Factor, Steve ranted, "I've been banging the drum about what it's about – people shouldn't call in and they shouldn't waste their money." Hmm, do you think Steve has a point, or do you think he's just blatantly BITTER upset?
