Amy's a no-show at prestigious awards bash

It’s one of the most prestigious awards ceremonies on the music calendar – but there is one musician notably absent from today’s Ivor Novello awards, Ms Amy Winehouse. The big-haired one has failed to show up to the London event, despite being nominated for three awards. The smash hit Rehab has been nominated for Best-selling British Song, while You Know I’m No Good and Love Is A Losing Game are both up for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. Unusually, Rehab has already won an Ivor Novello for Best Contemporary Song, and Amy is now the first artist ever to be twice nominated in one category. Ooh, get her! Other artists who have made the trip up to the Big Smoke for the music industry’s “Oscars” include Take That, Radiohead, Mika and Kate Nash. The awards are the only annual event to exclusively honour the music writer, so winning one means a huge deal to the artists. We’re not sure why Amy hasn’t made it to the event, but we do love her songs, so we’ll keep our fingers crossed for her none the less.

I won't keep my fingers crossed for her. I'm sick to death of hearing about her. Is she even a singer/songwriter anymore?!
