Will Amy make it to Glastonbury?

Despite being diagnosed with deadly lung disease emphysema, Amy Winehouse’s dad Mitch thinks the singer could still fulfil her live commitments this weekend. Amy’s due to play on the main stage at Glastonbury on Saturday, and is also on the bill at the Nelson Mandela concert in London on Friday, but it was thought that, due to her diagnosis this weekend, she wouldn’t make it. However, Mitch says she’s responding well to treatment and is determined to still perform – especially as she’s more likely to give drugs a miss if she’s concentrating on work. “The doctors have said that medically there isn't any reason why she can't do Glastonbury,” he says. “If she hadn't done recent shows in Moscow and Portugal she could have been dead by now. She abstains and regulates her drug use when she has to do a show. When she's been inactive work-wise, then that's when the problems really start.” heatworld will be heading down to Glastonbury and would love to see Amy wowing the crowds – fingers crossed her health improves in time for her to do what she’s best at…

maybe if her management and her dad didnt keep pressuring her to perform then she would have a chance to get better. why do they book all these things when they know she is so unwell?
