Jordan and Peter Andre have just left court after accepting “substantial damages” over a newspaper article alleging that they were bad parents. The couple went to London’s High Court first thing this morning to accept the damages. “Anyone who has kids can imagine how they would feel to be accused publicly of being bad parents,” said Jordan outside the court. As well as paying out to the couple, the newspaper has also retracted all comments made in the article. Official court documents stated:
"It [the newspaper] accepts that Ms Price and Mr Andre are decent and responsible parents, who love and care deeply about their children. It is here to apologise for the hurt and damage which they have suffered as a result of the article's publication. It has also agreed to pay them a substantial sum by way of damages, half of which the Claimants are donating to the NSPCC and The Vision Charity, and the other half they are putting into a trust fund for their children."
Outside the court, after the verdict, Jordan said, "Pete and I love our kids and would do anything for them. We came here today to see that justice was done and that our names were cleared."
