Is Lembit and Gaby’s “split” just a massive publicity stunt?

We sobbed into our Yorskshire puddings this weekend when we heard that Lemsip Icepick and Gabriela Cheeky had split – not because we found it genuinely heartbreaking, you understand, but because we just can’t bear the thought of there being no more hilariously cheesy pictures of them for us to guffaw at. According to reports in the tabloids, Cheeky dumped Lemsip because of his massive insecurities – but we can’t help but think it’s a teensy bit coincidental that this “news” has emerged just as the Cheekies’ documentary series has started airing on Living TV. “Gabriela started out happy but has felt more and more under pressure,” says Cheeky mum Margrit. “She doesn't smile like she used to because of the stress. She wakes every morning with her hands shaking and her eyes red. She isn't sleeping because she has so many thoughts running through her mind. There's a huge gap between them. She doesn't want to be his wife or have a baby.” Yes, yes, that’s all very sad and heart-rending, but we wouldn’t be at all shocked if we’re hearing stories of “crisis talks” and “emotional reconciliations” before the week is out – what do you think?
