Those cunning Big Brother producers are clearly getting inspiration from all those gross-out challenges on I'm A Celebrity... because the full details of the current "sardines" task have been revealed, and it's not pretty. The housemates have squeezed themselves into a giant-sized tin, which is full of sardine brine and sardine offal. At least 10 of them have to stay in this sardine hell for a pre-determined length of time, but they haven't actually been told how long that is. The rules state, "Housemates must ensure that they are adequately covered with sardine brine and sardines when they enter the tin," and they "must try to keep moving at all times". So, in theory, lovebirds Ziggy and Channelle can get jiggy with each other in the sardine offal – ph-ew. What happens if they need to go to the toilet? They'll each get one toilet break every four hours. So that's OK then. And if there's an emergency, Big Brother will use the word Godot, in a clever literary reference to modernist playwright Samuel Beckett's legendary Waiting For Godot. (Wonder if Sam and Amanda are au fait with the great man's work...) All in all, it sounds like classic TV in the making, proving yet again that there's more to this Big Brother programme than all those stuck-up critics give it credit for.
Ew, the new task is gross!forum/tm.aspx?m=5642
