We’re starting to wonder if Sam and Amanda are no longer living, breathing human beings, but robots programmed by numerous multi-national corporations. Their latest money-spinner is this advert plugging some kind of Barbie gadget (honestly, when we were little, all we had was a yo-yo and our Topsy & Tim books to keep us amused. Kids these days, eh?) Unless you spend your days watching children’s channels, you probably won’t have seen it yet – which makes you quite lucky, as it’s so cheesy. Anyone getting fed up with the twins yet? Don’t worry, they won’t hear you – they’re far too busy going to important business meetings, wearing power suits with shoulder pads (pink ones, natch). Still, they’ve got the right idea – they’ve milked the post-Big Brother market so effectively that when the fame dries up they’ll probably never need to work again, and can retire to great big Barbie castles, with adjoining corridors and a special wing for Brian. Sigh… we’re so jealous.
