We wouldn’t want to be Chanelle Hayes today (or tomorrow, or yesterday, or on any day with a “y” in it, for that matter…). She made a massive song and dance – literally – about her new career as a popstar, but has now discovered that her first single, I Want It, got to number… wait for it… 63 in the charts this week. Considering the lengths Chanelle and her people went to to promote the single (including that “leaked” sex tape, an exhausting promotional tour and all kinds of unnecessary nudity), that’s pretty bad news – and we can reveal that it sold just over 2,000 copies (that’s both CDs and downloads). Eek. Wonder what Chanelle’s next move will be?
