Brian Belo gives us his verdict on this year's Big Brother winner

Brian Belo was at Elstree in person last night to watch Sophie Reade become the brand new Big Brother champion (with 78% of the vote - get her!), and he's very happy that the adorable blonde walked away with the top prize. Here he tells heatworld exclusively all about his night, and why Sophie was the right person to win...

The Deserving Winner Collection

What an evening! I woke up this morning with the biggest smile on my face at the magnificent final of Big Brother 10. It had excitement, adrenalin and tears - what more could you ask for? Maybe a man with long hair in a pair of high heels...oh yes, it had that as well! From the moment Davina shimmied down that catwalk looking jaw-droppingly stunning, I knew that we were in for a great evening. I think most people were surprised to see Rodrigo leave the house first, but he left with the biggest smile on his face and bursting with exuberance.

I loved the celebratory feeling of last night's final. It was the emotional bonds between the finalists that made it so special. The ongoing drama of Charlie and Rodrigo, Sophie and Roddy's friendship, Sophie and Siavash's banter - that's genuine human emotion served up on a platter for us all to gorge on.

Charlie was out fourth, and his attitude this week was what probably stopped him from coming 2nd or 3rd. I think he thought that he would win. Even though he would never admit it, but his body language blatantly gave him away. Next out was David, this man has grown on me immensely, especially because he seems like a genuine geezer who lacked a certain amount of confidence beneath the bravado before he went in the house. Now he's come out 3rd to cheers, I hope it boots his self esteem to do great things in life. This is a man who has finished 3rd and got a message from Vivienne Westwood and support from Robbie Williams. That's the stuff that dreams are made of.

I got to admit, I've been annoyed by Siavash's lack of respect for the BB rules, as I'm a BB purist. However, he did redeem himself with an amazing exit and by having the balls to wear that outfit. He was kooky and different and not like any housemate before him, that's why I can appreciate how he has such an army of fans. The people I know that are fans of him actually adore him, and that in itself demands respect.

Our winner was a young lady that I have been supporting since my very first blog on day one. I loved her shameless burping, her tomboy behaviour, her lust for life, all with a smile on her face. She looked absolutely stunning as she left the house, and I have to say, for me, she is the most beautiful girl in Big Brother history. And even more gorgeous in the flesh!

I loved the fact she didn't think she would win because she's a glamour girl and people normally would judge her as promiscuous and tacky. That's the beauty of this wonderful show, it inputs confidence and self assurance into these young souls. It gives a voice to the disenfranchised youth of Britain, that for me is something that should not go unrewarded.

The series best bits were filled with countless memorable moments and proved to the critics that the show is still as brilliant as ever. For me as a fan, BB10 was a vintage year and will remembered for the amazing and three dimensional characters such as Marcus, Bea and Noirin.

I was in my dressing room for Big Mouth when the fireworks went off last night, and as I walked out to see Sophie's crowning moment, a tear did roll down my face. She is such a deserving winner and a beautiful person, it really struck a chord for me. It brought back so many memories of my own exit and surprise at the fireworks and sheer scale of winning my fave TV show. Big Brother isn't something you just win and move on to the next thing in life, it stays with you forever. I don't know how many years she will remember that signifcant moment that will change her life forever. Words can not express how happy I am for her. It's fantastic to have such a great addition to our BB family.
