Chicken Run

We've finally made it to the last day of Celebrity Big Brother 7 and what a blast it's been! We've had romance, laughter and Vinnie Jones ruling the house with an iron fist. For the first time in years, we have had hardly any arguments and it's still been a great series, proving you don't need the non-stop confrontations to make a good reality TV series. The house has been excellently casted and I've thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
 
Ivana was the first to get the boot in the double eviction - and she was dignified and graceful, I think she got an awful lot out of her stay in the house and realised that the BB journey is one priceless experience that money cannot buy. I met her yesterday at BBLB and she was just as warm and friendly as she was on screen. I'm glad she got to stay the duration - who could forget her winning the fake award for best business woman in a reality TV show? TV gold!
 
Losing Nicola at the final hurdle was a loss; I think she gave so much to the highlight shows and deserved a place in the final. However, it was nice to see how much the group missed her once she'd gone. Even without shedding tears, you could clearly see they were gutted. I got to meet her and her little baby girl Poppy yesterday at BBLB and it was so weird cos' I was talking to her like she was a long lost friend even though I had never met her before. It is such a clash of intimacy levels inside the BB world - watching people for that amount of time makes you think you know the person inside out. A big reminder as to what it was like for me leaving the house.
 
The Televisual delight that was Davina entering the house dressed as a chicken was top class. Davina was absolutely terrified as Vinnie tried to beat her up and Alex began to feel her up because he thought she was Katie Price. How great was Jonas when he sat on the bench with her oinking as she tweeted? A very surreal image but incredibly touching. The housemates' faces when Davina was revealed as the chicken was fantastic - the money shot we were after!
 
So tonight we declare a winner. The name on the crown was supposed to be Vinnie's, but I think he's well and truly messed that up. Earlier on in the week it looked likely to be Dane's for the taking, but many viewers think his turned into Mini Vinnie. It could easily be Alex's night of victory. I secretly would actually like Alex to win, he has been great to watch from start to finish. The spray-tan incident was pure comedy brilliance; his friendship with Jonas has been genuine and it's nice to see the celeb housemates make real bonds. I know he can say and do lots of silly things, but, without trying to sound too cliche, I think he's come on a journey. He comes across to me as the sort of lad that you could easily have a pint with down and the pub and you could have a laugh with. But most of all can you imagine Vinnie's face if he's evicted before Rocky? Wow, tonight's going to be good. I'm up there tonight, will fill you in on all the goss in my final blog tomorrow!
